Thank You

I have a thank you card for you today.  My daughter was recently very very ill whilst away at University.  There is nothing worse than having your (I’m going to say it…) baby, away from you, and they fall ill.  You feel so helpless.  Thankfully she was surrounded by lovely souls who looked after her in my absence and got her the care that she needed.  I wanted to send a thank you card to one of the girls who especially helped her out.

I kept the wording pretty simple, as I don’t have any Spanish thank you stamps, I wanted her to be able to understand what it was I was saying!!  and most of the Uni students at my DD’s Uni speak at least the basics of English, if not pretty good English anyway (better than me, looking back on that last sentence lol!!!)  Anyhoo, I used PTI’s Big and Bold Wishes stamps set, i truly love this set, and wish they did more sentiments in it.  I cut the banners using the banner builder die set and strung them up with some Divine Twine.  I added a little flower with some rhinestones, which I think were given to me as a gift for purchasing something off the net.

I then stamped the I appreciate you so much underneath, and added the flourish image from the Modern Wood Mat stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I inked around the edges with Distress Ink and then mounted the card onto the base.  When my DD gave her friend the card, she said she reacted as if she had won the lottery, and couldn’t believe her luck!  It’s nice to know cards can bring a smile to someone’s face sometimes.  That’s the goal after all isn’t it?!
